Frank Sinatra and Julio Iglesias (Enrique Torner, USA, 05/15/23 8:10 am)I want to thank Consoly León Arias for her beautiful tribute to Frank Sinatra. I always loved his music ever since I was a kid. I found him very poetic and emotional. He also helped me improve my English while growing up.
Upon checking, I discovered that his last concert was on April 16, 1994, in Syracuse. Here is his final "My Way," which almost led me to tears:

Sinatra also sang with the Spaniard Julio Iglesias, whom I met personally when I was young and he was just beginning his singing career. His grandfather was a very good friend of one of my friend's grandfather. We went to a concert he gave, and, afterwards, we took him to my friend's home, where we had a great time together. Here is "Summer Wind," a song they sang together:

And "I Love Paris":

JE comments: Enrique, you never told me about this particular brush with greatness! Since you know Julio Iglesias, this makes you only one degree removed from Sinatra. And since I know you, at least virtually, this places me just two degrees away. I am now very impressed with myself.
Who would have guessed that Ol' Blue Eyes' final concert took place in...Syracuse? Wouldn't you have assumed Vegas, Hollywood or the Big Apple?
