A Stroll Through Trinity Church Cemetery, New York (Patrick Mears, -Germany, 10/10/22 3:54 am)

Yesterday, Connie and I walked around the Financial District in Manhattan and wandered over to Battery Park. On our way back from the park, we passed Trinity Church on Broadway and went into the graveyard where the earthly remains of Alexander Hamilton, his wife Eliza, and his son Philip are buried.

Below are the photos taken by Connie of the grave of Alexander Hamilton, of Alexander's wife, Eliza Schuyler, and the supposed location of his son's remains in the Trinity Church graveyard.

JE comments:  Philip Hamilton was killed in a duel at the tender age of 19, three years before his father expired in the same way.  Hamilton Fils died defending his father's honor.  I may be the only person in the Free World who hasn't seen Hamilton, so perhaps these events are common knowledge.  "Honor" used to be a concept to die for, but this certainly is no longer the case.  Now we have social media.

Pat Mears is leaving New York later today for the trip back to Germany.  Safe travels to you and Connie, Pat!
