A Look at Summer, 2023 (Tor Guimaraes, USA, 05/18/22 7:02 am)

Looking into the crystal ball, by summer 2023, the war in Ukraine has forced Russia to declare general mobilization and the country is in ruins. This is based on the fact that the US/NATO will have been very successful training and arming new troops to continue the war. These new forces are already being trained in Germany, Poland and some other places. The Russians will need over a million troops to take over the whole Ukraine, not the 200 thousand minus 20,000 casualties already.

If Finland become a NATO member, Russia will have no choice but take them out of play before they are fully a member. How the Russians will do that is an open question, but they have no choice.

While we are seriously flirting with WWIII in Europe.  China's gold reserves formally are at 62.64 million ounces (1775.81 tons) at the end of March 2022. I believe that is a severe underestimation for a country which by law keeps every ounce mined in China over decades, has been accumulating gold from abroad for decades, and even promoted its citizens to accumulate gold.

The most strategic war they are fighting with the US is over dethroning the US dollar as the main world currency. They have a parallel financial system under fast development and a digital Yuan will play a key part. That will help Russia survive the Ukrainian war. If the digital Yuan succeeds according to the Chinese plans, our present American financial system will be crushed.

JE comments: Russia has a choice--to stop this cursed war. Only the hubris (fear?) of one man, or one man and his inner circle, is preventing it.

Fortunately, Russia has retracted its "take Finland out before they are officially in NATO" threat.  One can assume that in practical terms, Finland is already a NATO member.  

Tor, let's revisit your post in a year's time--May 18th, 2023.  Let us hope that sanity, and humanity's better side, will have prevailed by then.
