PostA Forgotten Wager... (David Duggan, USA, 06/08/21 3:53 am)
How quickly we forget. John E won the bet for Michigan's 2018 NCAA semi-final victory over Chicago's Loyola, getting a ticket to the Cubs-Cards game later that year. That game resulted in Dr. Bob Schenck's membership in WAIS.
JE comments: David, thank you for the memory jog. I fondly recall getting to know Dr Schenck (with the bonus of a Cubs victory), but I had forgotten the original cause of that fine day--a winning basketball bet!
Possibly I should have filed this post under psychology. Why do I remember my losing bets, but not the winning ones?
