"Looking Presidential"...and Potential VP Picks? (Robert Whealey, USA, 06/11/16 1:25 pm)

Which candidate "looks presidential" (Massoud Malek, 10 June) is crude propaganda. Forget Trump. G W Bush, as these statistics show, ran up a huge deficits and national debt. He wasted the taxpayers' money in unwinnable wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Syria. Bush 43 was the worst president of the US. Obama's problem is that he did not have the power to expose Bush 43's record.

Candidate Trump may not get the nomination in Cleveland. He does not seem to be able to write a memo to the State Department, DOD, TD, or the Fed. Hillary, Sanders, Sen. E. Warren, and Biden seem to be uniting in Philadelphia.

JE comments: Is there any plausible scenario that will deny the Republican nomination to Trump?  Beyond deus ex machina, I can think of none.

Also, after Hillary's primary victory in California, it's time to play the quadrennial WAIS game, "Guess the VP." This time there are two parties in the running.

Who in WAISworld will send the first entry? My first thought for Trump would be that handsome Marco Rubio, but he has said he will not accept.  Hillary's "obvious" choice would be Bernie Sanders, who has not categorically ruled out accepting, if offered.

Sarah Palin is rested up...Donald?
