PostNo Firearms Were Confiscated on January 6th (Francisco Wong-Diaz, USA, 03/08/21 3:34 pm)
This last week in sworn testimony about the January 6th riot national security leader Jill Sanborn, FBI Assistant Director, testified in Congress in response to Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin that no firearms were confiscated by the FBI on the grounds! Repeat, no firearms were confiscated!
So please let's stop the sub-intellectual BS about an armed insurrection and threatening shooters. The sole person killed by Capitol guards' gunfire was a former female veteran from California. Who shot her is not yet fully revealed in testimony.
So why continue to surround the Congress with troops and fences? Who do they really fear? The American people! As the stupid totalitarians they are they seek to distract by blaming out of office Trump while moving to suppress the opposition as they seek to eliminate or reduce our freedom of expression and religion, spread federal money for abortions, destroy the electoral system, etc.
Read the few neutral media if you have an ounce of honesty, and wake up non-ideological, freedom-loving WAISers before you too get canceled by those who find offense on anything they dislike.
JE comments: What exactly is the goal of stressing the absence of firearms on January 6th? Is it a terminology thing (i.e., no guns means no putsch/insurrection...perhaps it was just agitation?), or is it to underscore the peaceful and democratic motivations of the rioters? The latter doesn't quite cut it, because people were killed.
And Francisco, who exactly is seeking to destroy the electoral system? Wouldn't that be "Find me 11,000 Votes" Trump and his motley crew of litigators? Ideology is a funny thing; it's invariably what the other guy practices.
