WAIS TV: Amos Nur (Ronald Hilton, USA, 04/20/01 2:08 pm)


An interview with Amos Nur will be broadcast in the WAIS TV series tomorrow, Saturday April 21, at 7 p.m. on Channel 6, and next Monday, April 23, at 8:05 p.m. on Channel 77.

Professor Amos Nur of Stanford University is now academic director of its Overseas Studies program, in which the University of the Americas, in Puebla, participates. A geophysicist, he is best known for his studies of earthquakes, but at the WAIS conference he will be in charge of the session on energy, which is a major concern today, especially in California. He will talk about the political consequences of the demand for petroleum. especially in the behavior of China on the world scene. See the following posting.
