It seems that the Taliban have learned something from the US and are following its example.
The mausoleum of Ahmad Shah Massoud has been vandalized. Apparently there are no statues of Columbus in Afghanistan, so the poor fellows had to attack Massoud.
JE comments: Massoud was a guerrilla leader who originally fought against the Soviets, and later against both Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. His assassination by Al-Qaeda (reportedly on Bin Laden's orders) occurred just two days before the 9/11 attacks--coincidentally, twenty years ago yesterday.
