PostAnti-Government Protests in Several Cuban Cities (Francisco Wong-Diaz, USA, 07/13/21 3:14 am)
The Cuban people reject a government that has victimized and exploited them for seven decades.
How can anyone continue to defend this indefensible regime? Are they examples of Lenin's renowned "useful idiots"?
JE comments: Sunday's protests were held in 25 different cities, which shows a high level of organization. Given the regime's close control over the Internet, one wonders how such a thing was pulled off. The protesters made the most fundamental demands: food, Covid vaccines, and "libertad." How will Díaz-Canel react? There are reports of Internet blackouts and up to 100 arrests. I'll be following these developments closely.
