My thanks for the corrections from Cameron Sawyer and JE (July 21) on US energy exports.

One notes that Saudi Arabia and Russia combined energy exports are some seven times that of the US.

Further, one wonders what will happen if China (the largest importer of energy products) reduces its oil imports from the US as a result of tariff bickering with a probable effect on the US reserve currency--petrodollars.

JE comments:  Remember the "fun" of fungibility:  if the Chinese don't buy, you can sell it elsewhere.  Still, according to this recent Reuters report, liquid natural gas (LNG) exports to China, formerly 14% of total US sales, have declined to almost zero:
