Microsoft Releases Latest Product (Randy Black, USA, 04/01/16 3:49 pm)

On the matter of new products in marketplace, I found the following that will roll out just in time for Christmas 2016.

JE comments:  See below.  I predict another winner for Bill Gates.

WAIS Assistant Editor Zoska (http://waisworld.org/go.jsp?id=02a&objectType=post&o=76273&objectTypeId=67162&topicId=182 ) has already signed up for Beta testing. Sadly, Zoska is getting old and her vision is failing, so she may prefer the Braille version.  Her hearing isn't what it used to be, either, but this comes with benefits:  she no longer fears the vacuum cleaner (Hoover in the UK).

Fortunately, Zoska's appetite remains robust.

(The wonderful post linked above is from our colleague Bob McCabe. As we learned last week, Bob passed away on March 9th.  It's a good day to remember Bob's wit and playfulness.)

  • Dansons la Capucine; from Gary Moore (John Eipper, USA 04/04/16 5:14 PM)

Gary Moore comments on Randy Black's "Office 2016 for Cats" post (April Fool's 2016):

WAIS Assistant Editor Zoska the Cat has no doubt seen the Funniest Video In The World--but it's so funny she might want to review.

I'd include a link, but unfortunately copyright quarrels
seem to be intruding even into the realm of hilarity.
Zoska may begin the search for a usable link by Googling:
    "dansons la capucine" + cats.

    JE comments:  Found it--I think:

A sobering thought:  this delightful cat performance, at 9,400,000 views, has received more "hits" than WAIS in its entire history.  (We average about 20,000 hits per month, or 250,000 annually.)  I'm partially to blame--I've already watched the kitties playing pattycake three times.

Who was it that said that without funny cat videos (and pornography), there wouldn't be an Internet?
