Fifteen Years of Putin; Rossya Channel 1 (Boris Volodarsky, Austria, 04/28/15 5:14 am)

I fully agree with Randy Black (28 April). I watch Russian television every day (various channels). It is pure propaganda and nothing else. Now, I do not think there is anything in Russia that is not propaganda. Even my favourite program Krivoe Zerkalo contains a lot of it.

The Ministry of Truth, as both JE and Orwell timely and correctly put it, rests peacefully when the Kremlin-sponsored machine moves. And there's a lot of money behind it while the doctors, teachers and pensioners do not get anything. I am so terribly sorry for this country. Randy was there. He knows it well. He is married to a Russian woman. One should trust his judgment.

JE comments:  Speaking of Russia's pensioners and public-sector employees, I've heard anecdotal reports that they aren't getting paid.  Any truth in this?
