WAIS '13 Photos, Chapter 1 (John Eipper, USA, 10/16/13 8:18 am)

These photos from Day One of WAIS '13 are courtesy of Randy Black.  E-mail space requirements limit me to two or three photos per mailing, but eventually Roman Zhovtulya and I will assemble all the images in a single gallery.

I'm also trying to resolve a technical glitch.  The "wunderphone," my new iPhone 5S, transmits all its photographs upside-down.  Thinking I was clever, I tried holding the device in an inverted position for subsequent pictures.  Still upside-down.   This phone, in a word, is evil.  Just ask anyone in WAISworld who tried to call me during the conference.  "John, I can't hear you" became the event's  buzzphrase #2, right after Bob Gibbs's Rabbit Stew.

Be that as it may, my thanks to Randy for coming to the rescue with the photos.

  • WAIS '13 Photos, Chapter 2: Sullivan to the Rescue! (John Eipper, USA 10/17/13 8:17 AM)

Gen. Michael Sullivan has sent a bunch of WAIS '13 photos my way--thank you, Michael!  I struggled this morning, in vain, to invert the upside-down images from my devilish iPhone, so Michael's pics come in the nick of time.  If you're in a bind, call the Marines!

Here is the first installment from the Sullivan Gallery.  More to follow.

    • WAIS '13 Photos, Chapter 3; from Michael Sullivan (John Eipper, USA 10/18/13 2:08 PM)

Michael Sullivan has sent some excellent shots of the WAIS '13 Conference in Adrian.  It's hard to believe that Day One was already a week ago!
